The outer removable plates are lightly stonewashed and held on by magnets. They are removable to access the center peg and for cleaning. The inner plates are coated stainless steel and are black in color.

The edges can be a bit of a "hot spot" but proper finger placement and use you will likely get used to where to push etc. This fidget item is great as it has several setups. The center peg currently installed can be removed for free motion using the eight magnets on each half. The included bearing balls (up to 4) can be installed in the races to limit motion to only up and down. With the balls removed and keeping the center peg installed it allows up and down movement and you can spin it around using the center pivot peg that stays in the center track line, this also keeps the halves from separating.

Many different fidget functions in one item. Please accept this as it is used. As with most haptic sliders continued maintenance may be needed to clean or polish the inner sides to continue sliding function. The plates will wear and scratch with use (metal on metal contact). The plates may need cleaned or polished if they start sticking or become gummy feeling.
